Fall is Here

Fall is officially almost here by the calendar as well as by the weather. It has been beautiful for the last couple of weeks. Janelle, and Andy when he is not at work, has been busy storing up food for the winter. Our garden for the first year on new ground has done very well. Tomatoes need to be picked about every other day. The squash is almost ripe so that we can take it in. We were able to get peaches, pears, blueberries, as well as the produce from our garden. We have been blessed with a freezer that we are working on filling with all sorts of good things.

Andy has been busy at work with routine projects as well as putting together his “puzzle” airplane. The wings are now on as well as the tail. The engine is mounted but there is a lot of work to do to get the engine running yet. We will include some pictures so that you can see how it looked before he started. It has been interesting to try to figure out what is missing from a big pile of parts on the floor so that you can order it and have it when you need it. It is kind of like looking a box of puzzle pieces and trying to figure out which ones are missing before you put it together. He is enjoying it very much though because it has been a good challenge and a break from the usual. When Andy is not working at New View he is flying in the evenings with students. He does not fly as much as he used to but it is enough.

Today marks 6 months of marriage for us!! We agree that it has been the best six months of our lives and that marriage, lived out in God’s way and with Him as the absolute center and focus, is a wonderful thing. We have learned so much about life, relationships, God, blessings and so much more. We look at each other once and a while and say “You know, I loved you so much on our wedding day but I love so much more now!” Our prayer and desire is that it will continue to be that way for the rest of our lives, and as a friend said yesterday “You’re still in the honeymoon stage! …. and it can stay that way for the next sixty years!”

It is really neat to hear how things are going with you. Congrats on the "7th" month anniversary now! Being married is such a blessing, especially later when you have to move away from things that are normal. Have fun with that "puzzle" airplane! Can't wait to hear how it turns out and see some pictures.
