Home Sweet Home

We did make it home! Life certainly doesn't slow down once you're married, we've discovered.

Just a brief rundown of the rest of our trip. On our way home from Tennessee we took in a very worthwhile tour through Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. Two hours underground, 300+ steps, and a very good experience! We drove through the Cumberland Gap but unfortunately weren't able to spend much time there due to rain and an appointment we were trying to meet. We left on our trip tired and came home tired, go figure; but we had such an incredible time together!

We were "warmly" welcomed home with a few surprises from our families. 625 cups all over our kitchen floor filled alternately with water and candy, a bathroom filled with some 300 balloons, and the covers of our bed sewn to the mattress just to name a few things. Thanks guys!!

We have been settling into our new home and life quite nicely. It's beginning to feel like we're finally catching up now. The first several weeks were filled with opening wedding presents, getting everything in order in our house, stocking up on all the groceries we need and everything else that comes with starting a new household. It's been fun and tiring at the same time. Andy has been kept busy with work for which we are very thankful. He also flies once and sometimes twice a week with students.

We are excited to be married and excited about what God has in store for us. We have been really praying that God would show us what He would have us do from here. As most of you know, missions is on both of our hearts. Where to, when, and with who? We're not exactly sure yet but we know that God is never late and He will open the doors in just the perfect timing. Pray that we will have a constant "ear" toward the Lord and that our hearts will be continually in tune with His.

That sounds like a fun trip and a fun 'surprise' at home! You counted all the cups?! Wow, that's a lot! :)
