Its all over

It is constantly amazing to me how one week can cause a small sleepy little airport to become the world's busiest handling more takeoffs and landings in one hour than Chicago O Hare does. There are airplanes laying everywhere, jets with state of the art equipment, to the old little Cessna 150s. My favorite part amidst all of this chaos is seeing all of the familiar faces that are here each year.
It was a great year for me. I got to work on some neat airplanes including a T6 and also some junky ones that should not have been flying. I also very much enjoyed spending time with some of you while you were here.
We are resuming normal flight operations tomorrow. I am going out to pick up the airplanes again and move them back to Oshkosh in the morning. It is going to be a busy week because we have check rides for the guys starting the end of the week. The stress level usually goes up alot for all of us when this time rolls around because we have to work with the weather as well as the student's ability and a deadline.
I got a brief on what is going to happen this fall today. It is going to be very busy again. One of our instructors got hired by another company so we are down to 3 instructors. Please pray for all of this because we have 15 incoming students and only three instructors. It also looks like I am going to end up with 6 multi students which is going to be quite a challenge. For the first part of the semester I will not be teaching any single engine stuff it looks like, but that could change any time.
