Dear Friends,

It is finally summer time in Wisconsin!! The days have gone from being cool to now being almost hot. It’s almost like we skipped spring!! The garden is planted and doing well and I can now hang clothes on the clothesline and they will actually dry!!

As you know we have been working through the application process for Wycliffe Bible Translators over the last several months. We are happy to announce that we are now officially members!! It has seemed like a long journey and we spent much time in prayer and consideration during it all. God is so faithful in leading us along and giving us the assurance and peace that we are indeed where He wants us to be.

We will be starting a six-week online course called Equip in August of this year which will be followed by two weeks of onsite training in Orlando, FL in October. We will be actively working on partnership development from October until August of 2012 when we plan on moving to North Carolina, Lord willing, where Andy will complete pre-orientation flight training. That will be followed by a month-long course in intercultural communication for both of us. We will then have three months of orientation and finally leave for the field by the summer of 2013. This is a tentative schedule and subject to change but it gives you an idea of what we will be up to over the following months. We of course will keep you updated along the way as well.

We do not have a definite field assignment yet but we do have some options which are as follows: Tanzania/Uganda, the Pacific, Cameroon, Brazil, and Papua New Guinea. We do have a preference but will be open to wherever the Lord leads. Pray that He would give wisdom and peace about where that will be.

We are so excited to be a part of getting God’s Word into the hands of every person in the world.

In other news, we are expecting a baby around January 1^st!! We are looking forward to having an additional family member while at the same time realizing that it will drastically change our lives!! Pray for us as we prepare for parenthood and raising this little one to bring honor and glory to God.
