He who is forgiven much loves much. That statement is so true. I saw it yesterday when we went down to Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. This was my first time at the new building. I got a very big glimpse of what God can do when we are willing to trust Him and step out. He is very able to keep his work going on amidst whatever happens. Sometimes I see so many opportunity's for service in the world and I wonder "Lord who is going to fill all of them?" Amidst all of that I am constantly reminded that God will build His Church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it. God raises up those that He needs and equips them for the work that He calls them to. The Mission has been in the heart of Chicago for 131 years and it will still continue to preach the same old Gospel, Lord willing, until Christ comes back again. I sensed a real passionate love for the Lord and compassion for the lost among the staff that I have not felt in too many places yesterday as we walked the halls and talked to the staff. The awesome thing is the fact that they are still giving out the Old Old Gospel not a watered down, weaked, feel good, version like many other places. Our tour guide told us that a person can not get more than 100 feet inside the door before they are exposed to the gospel in one way or another. The walls are painted with Bible Verses, the security guards are mission converts, and the door man is always willing to share a word with the newcomer. The results of telling the old old Story, are changed lives. Broken ruined lives that God is able to put back together and make beautiful. We heard testimony's from drunks, drug addicts, gang members and many more. The one thing that all of these stories had in common is the One who changed their lives. What a great experience.
