Quote by William Booth
I found this quote in a online Bible Class that I am taking and thought I would post it here for all of you. “The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Spirit, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell.” This quote came from William Booth the founder of the Salvation Army many many years ago. He saw the beginnings of some things that we are seeing as very true in much of today's so called "Christianity." Do any parts of this quote sound familiar? They do to me because this week I was reading 2Tim 3:5 which says, "Having a form of Godliness but denying it's power." Mr Booth saw it and so did Paul when he was writing to Timothy. Amazing how God's word holds true again and again.
