Our Great God

I feel sometimes like the sailor in Psalm 107:23-24 "Those that go down to the sea in ships, who do business on the great waters, they see the works of the Lord and his wonders in the deep." The only difference is that I see the wonderful works from the above instead of from the depths. It is an amazing sight when you see all of the trees that are turning color from above. It looks like God spilled paint all over the once green forests. Yellow turns into orange and orange to red. When I see this it amazes me that people could see it all and say that there is no Creator. When I see it it makes me realize again how small I am and how much power God really has. As the psalmest says in Psalm 8:3-5 "When I consider your heaven's the work of your fingers and the moon and the stars which you have ordained, What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you visit him?" The best part about all of this is the fact that the Creator who had all of this power also became our Savior. He has created us, saved us, and wants to put us into his work. We can say with Paul the apostle in I Tim1:12 "I thank Christ Jesus who has enabled me because he counted me faithfull putting me into the ministry. "
